For fans of Jenny Colgan, Emily Henry, Abby Jimenez, and feel-good romance. Everyone's waiting for the new Gemma Lovegood, especially her publisher. But the author of bestselling Victorian romances has disappeared, along with the manuscript for her latest novel. And it's up to assistant editor Hope Halladay to fly to England, track her down, and get that manuscript-or risk getting the boot from her boss, who has gone on maternity leave but doesn't understand that leave means leaving work behind. However, finding Gemma and getting the manuscript is proving to be a daunting task, in large part due to Gemma's very grouchy yet very attractive agent, Oscar Tennant. First he won't tell Hope where Gemma is. Then he won't let her see the manuscript. But no way is Hope going home without getting that book, even if it means moving in with the reclusive author-and her overprotective agent-in their cozy cottage in Cupid's Bow. It's a battle of wills, with Hope determined to win. But as she learns more about Gemma (and Oscar), her feelings change, and soon Hope has to make an important decision that could change everything.
