Autorenporträt
Paul Janet (1823 - 1899), est un philosophe français. Il devient professeur de philosophie morale à Bourges (1845-1848), à Strasbourg (1848-1857), puis de logique au lycée Louis-le-Grand à Paris (1857-1864). À partir de 1864, il occupe la chaire de philosophie à la Sorbonne. Il est élu membre de l'Académie des sciences morales et politiques.
