Miki Boni's expressionistic tiny tales and paintings burst with energy, joy, humor and mystery. Figments is the first published collection of her otherworldly works and the tiny tales they tell. Meet Sophia, Bella, Hanna and her Hummingbird, Jema the Sky Rider and many others. Just as coloring books encourage participants to color in the pre-drawn designs, Boni's readers of all ages are encouraged to complete the unfinished stories. Boni is currently working on Figments 2.

Autorenporträt
A native New Yorker, Miki Boni began her career in the East Village drawing street portraits. She takes the fruits of her classical training and teases out the spirited nature of her subjects. Boni's paintings have been exhibited at Lincoln Center's Cork Gallery and at WomanArt Galleries in Manhattan. She spent years living in Mexico as a teacher, writer and working artist where her large facescapes were greatly influenced by that country's muralists and its surrealism. She was the first American woman artist invited to be included in the permanent collection of Museo de Arte Contemporaneo in the State of Nayarit. Boni has had numerous one-woman shows in both the US and Mexico, and her paintings are included in private collections internationally. She was elected to Washington DC's National League of American Pen Women
for her accomplishments in the visual arts. Her writing has appeared in several publications about the people and places encountered in her travels.
