I always had to fight for everything, and when I decided I wanted an enduring relationship with God, I had to fight for that too. Minister Lois Kirwan is a strong, godly woman whose faith was birthed through both hardship and God's love. I always had to fight for everything, and when I decided I wanted an enduring relationship with God, I had to fight for that too. Minister Lois Kirwan is a strong, godly woman whose faith was birthed through both hardship and God's love. She grew up in a family whose love for God brought them through severe poverty and overwhelming oppression, and it was only God's love and steadfastness that delivered Minister Lois from bigamy, domestic violence, rape, and depression. Fighting the Good Fight of Faith is a jarringly straightforward account of Minister Lois' life, from childhood to present, that portrays how God's mercy and grace can give us joy - even as we hurt. We see it as Minister Lois immigrates to the USA, works two jobs and goes to school full-time while raising three children, endures a devastating divorce, and accepts her calling into and works in ministry. None of it was easy, in fact, most of it was grueling, but it was God's grace and mercy that brought her through it all. This book will make you laugh and cry, help you release burdens which unknowingly were weighing you down, and will nurture your mustard-seed-sized faith into a towering oak of confidence in Christ. You will be inspired to keep your face turned toward God through life's hardships, be encouraged to keep pressing on to do God's work, and ultimately be led by the Lord's guiding hand as YOU fight the good fight of faith!
Autorenporträt
Lois Kirwan is a certified surgical technologist, a licensed and ordained minister, and has a Bachelor's degree in Communications. After the death of her mother, Lois migrated to the United States from the very small island of Montserrat at the tender age of 19 in search of a better life. She did various odd jobs to take care of her kids while putting herself through college. Because of her unrelenting faith in God, Evangelist Lois Kirwan is able to share her struggles through depression, rape, low self-esteem, domestic abuse, and even bigamy. As a single parent, Evangelist Lois also shares how God supplies her needs and is everything that she needs Him to be. She states, "If He could do it for me, He could do the same for you." Through her many talents as a writer, song writer, singer and comedian, Evangelist Lois dedicates her life to sharing the love of God to many near and far, and to win the lost at any cost.
