The Fibonacci cubes are a family of undirected graphs with properties similar to those of hypercube graphs, but with a Fibonacci number of vertices, studied in graph-theoretic mathematics. The Fibonacci cube may be defined in terms of binary numbers, independent sets of vertices in path graphs, or via distributive lattices. Although the lattice definition is older, Fibonacci cubes were first explicitly studied as graphs by Hsu, Page & Liu (1993). They have been applied both in parallel computation and in chemical graph theory.
