Minister of War of the Ottoman Empire, National Defence Minister, Prime minister of Ankara government, the second Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Grand National Assembly and the first Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of Turkey.Mustafa Fevzi was born on January 24, 1876 in Cihangir (Istanbul, Ottoman Empire) to mother Hesna Han m, daughter of Varnal Hac Bekir Efendi, who is the youngest son of Ömer A a, and father Ali S rr Efendi, who is son of Çakmako lu Hüseyin Dervi Kaptan and served for Tophane (Arsenal) as secretary. In 1879 his father Ali S rr Bey was appointed to Black Sea Artillery Regiment (Karadeniz Topçu Alay ) at Rumeli Kava , family move there. Thus Fevzi's name in the Army will become "Kavakl Fevzi Pasha".
