The main objective of the study is to present to policy makers the elements that still hinder the schooling of girls in the far north of Cameroon. The study is also intended to serve as an analytical grid through which the problems of school wastage among the female population in the northern part of the country can be effectively addressed and, in the short term, lead to a significant reduction in this situation. We propose to lift a part of the veil on one of the dimensions of the global problem of the integration of Cameroonian women in the development process. It must nevertheless be acknowledged that the state has always made efforts in the field of education by increasing the number of schools and providing human and material resources. And significant progress has been recorded in the field of schooling in Cameroon. However, despite these efforts to ensure access to education for all, the number of girls in schools is still lower than that of boys in the far north, where the under-schooling of girls compared to boys remains a significant phenomenon.
