'Felted vessels - basic design with wool fibres' is a detailed introduction to felting. Playing with shapes and colours, felting is a sensual learning proces, where your hands and your mind must work together. The 'thorough guide' will take you gracefully through all the steps of the process, felting a hollow item, leading you to the end result: the richly coloured vessels. Your idea will be the starting point of the project, and in the process, you will get knowledge of the material and a good sense of the craft. Richly illustrated with photos and drawings.

Autorenporträt
Mette Østman (1959) Mette is a trained feltmaker and teacher, and part of Filtlaboratoriet (the Felting Laboratory) in Odense, Denmark. The many qualities and the inspiring colours of wool can be put to good use in felted clothing as well as in useful items or art for your home. Inspiration for shapes, colours and patterns is often found in nature. Besides experiments with felted art and larger size objects, Mette is working on other projects including how to felt and use wool in new ways. "Felted Vessels - basic design with wool fibres" is published by e-Felt.
