Teri O'Donnell is an entrepreneur, wife, and mom of three amazing and thriving young adults. After high school, Teri took the traditional path of attending college and studied business at Illinois State University. Teri has always had a sense of adventure and never wanted to live her life with regrets. This mindset is what drove Teri to the Marine Corps. An untraditional path for a girl from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago is military. People told her not to go, especially the Marines...so she did. Having spent three years stationed in the U.S., she wanted more adventure, and discovered an opportunity to be stationed in Okinawa, Japan where she became a PADI certified scuba diver while living off base in the community immersed in the Japanese culture. An experience she would not have had living in the Midwest. After transitioning from the Marines Corps, Teri's next career path took her to a 2-decade career in banking where she helped people find funding to purchase homes. This is also when Teri discovered franchising which provided financial freedom and flexibility so Teri could leave her corporate career and focus on raising her family while building their business. People told Teri investing in a business is a big risk....so she did. Naturally she did her due diligence and homework. Teri read and researched a lot, drafted a business plan, and spoke with many people making sure to stay away from the naysayers. Teri had faith in her personal leadership abilities and the ability to create a great culture in their business with customers and employees. Fast forward, as an investor in her 4th and 5th franchise brands, Teri has identified part of her purpose in life as Founder and CEO of Prosperity Franchise Group, is to provide coaching and mentoring to Veterans, investors, Military spouses, and female entrepreneurs.
