FRANCIS E. RUSHTON, JR. D. has practiced pediatrics in Beaufort, South Carolina, for the past sixteen years. He is past president of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has a continuing interest in the welfare of children. He is currently Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina, serves as Chair of the Alliance for South Carolina's Children, and heads a study of the role of health care in supporting families in stress for the Institute for Families in Society at the University of South Carolina.
