Media Education seeks to develop skills so that people are able to decode a message and understand the parts that make it up, when conveyed in the various social media. It seems logical that, in order to combat misinformation, the best way is to offer more information, provided it is good quality information. This is because we are in the middle of a (dis)information war, in which the greatest weapon is the narratives, more elaborate and sophisticated every day. In this context, this study aims to outline the profile of academic productions, analyzing their objectives and results presented on the mechanisms of media education used to combat Fake News, disinformation, disseminated on social media. The methodology sought to analyze studies published in the last ten years, in primary databases such as Google Schoolar, Scielo, in addition to works linked to Federal Public Universities, which together comprised the sample. To trace this profile, a systematic review was conducted with doctoral theses, master's dissertations, scientific articles, and graduation course conclusion papers.
