Studies were carried out in other countries on the probation process, this is evidence on lack of research on the Probation process, its factors and challenges in Namibia. This book will evaluate the existing probation process in Oshana Regional Council, identify the factors and challenges the probation process and do recommend to Public Service Commission thereof. A mixed method research design (QUAL+QUAN research) wasadopted. The study is vital to enlighten individuals on the role of probation in the recruitment process in the government while enhancing and strengthening its application.

Hildebert Ndawanapo Tayeipanga Shisaande was born in Ondeikela, Okalongo in Namibia. She holds an MBA (Business Strategy) and Bachelor degree in Commerce( Business Management and Accounting) from University of Namibia. She is currently an Accountant in Oshana Regional Council- Directorate of Education, Arts, and Culture, in Oshakati
