Achonwa Uchendu Onu hails from Egwi, town in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State. His primary and secondary Education were in Rivers State. He obtained his B.Sc in Adult Education and Community Development from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, M.Ed and Ph.D in Educational management from University of Port Harcourt.
