This study explored the factors influencing girls performance in Tanzanian Community Secondary Schools, particularly ward schools with reference to three Secondary Schools namely, Arusha Day, Kaloleni and Sinoni Secondary Schools in Arusha Municipality. Related sources and literature were used to spot the core of the problem and its impact on girls education. Applying the qualitative study approach, various methods like questionnaires and interviews, were used during data collection; The findings revealed that many girl students still perform poorly in their examinations due to a number of reasons one of them being poor/inadequate sanitation facilities in schools. Thus, this study observes that the situation in this type of schools is abhorrent therefore, effective measures should be taken by the government and the entire community to support girl s education.
