A big shortcoming of the country like India is the size of population and subsequently its pressure on land with the result the farms got divided with very small farms as the family grows became the order of the day.In the present work an attempt has been made to study and interpret the existing cropping pattern by the farmers according to their size of land holding in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh,India. To interpret how does the size of land holding impact the decision of a farmer regarding his choice of crops, and to evaluate this, selected villages were visited during the Kharif (summer) and Rabi (winter) season and farmers were selected on the basis of their farm sizes and the type of crops they prefer to grow in their field. Different farmers, i.e. large, medium, semi medium, small and marginal gave their choice of crops in their field .Which varies with the size of their fields. It was found that only 10 to 12 crops have their dominance in the study area during either season but their intensity or their area vary according to the size of farm.
