Faces In The Clouds Inspired from everyday relationships of friendships, love and family, I hope that these poems speak to the innocence lost and experience gained from living. Falling in love, getting hurt and/or disappointed in relationships can create new truths and understandings. I have tried to use my awakenings, triumphs, and failures as catalysts for destroying distorted visions that society placed in my view. It is through these new perceptions that I have torn down images that project women in roles that they are expected, allowed or prohibited from playing.
