What was happening to our country. I feel there were a lot of people just like me. We were faces in our windows, looking out, wondering what in the world is going on. We have some evil giants trying to stomp us down, and they are trying to turn our country into something we cannot accept. God is love, but He is not just soft, mushy, quiet love. God has a temper, and He has displayed it in His Word. The scolding poems (the face in the window poems) came to me in a basically complete form. To me, they were a gift. I barely changed a word or corrected any of them. It is okay for us to use righteous indignation to fight what is wrong. We are not doormats for someone to wipe their feet on. If someone is trying to walk all over you, pull yourself out from underneath them and knock them on their backsides. God uses tough love for correction and teaching. God will show His wrath when He is angered. He displays His righteous indignation. He offers the greatest love imaginable. He offers mercy and grace. Don't forget He has a sense of humor. God has a wide range of emotions and so do we. God loves America. God's love is alive. God loves to hear from us, and He is saying, "Where are you?" I love to write poems about God's love for us and my love for Him. You can be one of the faces that belong to God. Keep your Gospel armor on and always be willing to fight what is wrong. Now that is a good fight.
Autorenporträt
Cheryl grew up in the city but there is no city left in her. She loves God, her country, and country life. She loves space. Cheryl loves birds, flowers, a sense of humor and her beloved green wing macaw Sasha. She has many interests, gardening, wine making, and writing to name a few. She worked full time jobs for many years and now enjoys her seasonal work, working for a greenhouse operation. It is a rewarding job watching the houses go from empty to overflowing with flowers. She enjoys it all until it gets too hot. She is not a hot house Cheryl. She says times have changed but God has not. He is the center of her life, and he still answers prayers. Cheryl said she enjoys writing poetry, especially the ones that God gives her. Sometimes they just get dumped on her and the words come so fast. At times she will even get up in the dark of night and find a pen quick to write down the words. Those are always the best ones because they feel like a gift. She enjoys writing the wrongs, and she looks forward to the days when God rights the wrongs. Until then, she goes where God leads her and she is always open to his calling.
