Here we report, the first direct synthesis of beta-CD/gypsum (beta.Ca-H), highly ordered functional material, simply by using beta-Cyclodextrin and calcium sulfate. The hybrid material is distinctively aligned which reveals a drastic change in chemo-physical properties. Optical switching of a Multi Responsive Solvatofluorochromic Dye and Dye/beta-CD Inclusion Complex were also investigated. Dye/beta-CD inclusion complex molecular rearrangements by isomerozation transformations were also observed and investigated in detail.

El doctor M.J. Nikanam Jahromi obtuvo su doctorado en ingeniería química en la Universidad Nacional Cheng Kung, especializándose en el autoensamblaje supramolecular y su comportamiento de cristal líquido, fosforescencia fluorescente y su aplicación en la síntesis de nano materiales. Realizó su postgrado en la Universidad Nacional de Taiwán y en la composición de polímeros.
