About Howard Stidwill Howard Stidwill, Ph.D. has been director of exercise therapy programs for cancer patients for over 12 years. Dr. Stidwill has also written an exercise guide specifically for breast cancer patients. He was also produced and exercise DVD for breast cancer patients and presented and published numerous articles on this subject for professional organizations including the American Cancer Society, Y-Me, Coping magazine and the American Breast Cancer Guide where he serves as a member of the editorial advisory board. He has been profiled by WGN television in Chicago. Dr. Stidwill has been a university professor in exercise science at Northern Illinois University. While at Northern, he began an outpatient exercise program for breast cancer patients and taught a graduate class on the therapeutic use of exercise for those with cancer. He was director of exercise therapy for cancer patients at a nonprofit agency in the Chicago suburbs and is currently President of InnerStrength Rehabilitation Services for Cancer Patients Inc.
