The Kenya Polytechnic University College established a program to improve and upgrade the existing Diploma in Technology syllabi and to develop new degree syllabi to address the need to expand access to higher education, bridge the gap between science, technology, innovation and provide a way for diploma students to access higher education in their area of specialization. Gaudencia Achieng' Ndeda is a lecturer at the Technical University of Kenya, in the Department of Science and Technology Studies.[formerly Kenya Polytechnic University College] She holds an B.Ed and M.Ed from Kenyatta University. She is currently pursuing a PhDEd in Educational Research and Evaluation at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
