The present experimental study evaluated the effect of methanolic extract of stem bark of Neolamarckia cadamba against DMBA-induced Mammary tumour in Wistar rats. The percentage extractability and qualitative phytochemical analysis of stem bark's Neolamarckia cadamba methanolic extract were conducted while studying its anticancer activity. The phytochemical analysis revealed the existence of active constituents like flavonoids, phytosterols, alkaloids, carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, saponins, glycosides, resins, and tannins. and the extractability percentage was obtained to be 22.30%. GC-MS analysis report revealed the presence of a total of 05 bioactive compounds. 2-Myristynoyl pantethine, Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester Desulphosinigrin, 1.1-S-[(1E)-N-Hydroxy-3-butenimidoyl]-1-thiohexopyranose Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester, 2-Furancarboxaldehyde, 5(hydroxymethyl. In the present study, GC-MS analysis of secondary metabolites of plant extract leads to credential compounds that are pharmacologically important phytoconstituents in Neolamarckia cadamba extract.
