PATRICIA OKORO obtained an honorary Bachelor of Arts degree, BA (Hons), in English/literary studies in 1989. She also studied at the University of Hertfordshire (England) where she obtained a Diploma in Higher Education in Nursing. She is currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, she is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). She has great artistic flair for writing drama and poetry. She is an eloquent communicator and made an appearance on the television talk show Kilroy in 1996, where she expressed her views on the issue of female circumcision in Africa. She is married with three children and resides in England, where she manages her own business - a nursing/care training and recruitment agency.
