Si è laureata all'Università di Jos, in Nigeria, con una laurea in Sociologia, e al Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, in Ghana, con un master in Conflitti, Pace e Sicurezza. Ha inoltre ottenuto un certificato in Genere, diversità e trasformazione sociale presso lo XISS/Visthar, Bangalore, India.
