His previous works of non-fiction include The Death of Education, an exposé of the public school system in America, The Films of Jon Garcia: 2009-2013, an analysis of the work of the acclaimed Portland independent filmmaker, and a collection of essays entitled The Intellectual American. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife.
