The author contributions through his research works and writing this book are small contributions towards that goals, of eradication of TB by 2015, set by the Govt. of India.

Acquired M.Sc. Microbiology from the Univ. Deptt. of Pune University of India. Started career as Assistant Professor of Microbiology in a Medical College at Nashik. Awarded Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Pune. Published four research papers in Peer-reviewed Journals. Edited two books; Microbiology and Biotechnology.
