A single-source reference with information on environmental regulations and proven ways to perform pollutant calculations

"A well-thought out environmental regulatory handbook. The authors' backgrounds complement each other: Leo Stander with his regulatory background and Louis Theodore with his technical/calculations background. The problems hit the mark in all regulation areas."

- Charles Pratt, past president, Air and Waste Management Association

With today's countless environmental regulations and complex compliance requirements, existing and proposed facilities, both public and private, are required to provide detailed technical information about pollutants they discharge into the environment. After an overview of the history of environmental regulation and the current regulatory framework, Environmental Regulatory Calculations Handbook gets down to the actual calculations. With a practical, real-world approach, it:
_

Provides more than 300 stand-alone, illustrative examples that show readers how to perform essential calculations on pollutant emissions
_

Features examples addressing key regulatory issues, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Superfund, Toxic Substances Control Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and Pollution Prevention Act
_

Consolidates vast information into one comprehensive, accessible reference

The diverse examples address typical problems and can be adapted to calculate information in actual situations. The book also helps readers develop a working understanding of environmental issues and regulations. This will be the core hands-on reference for practitioners in federal, state, and local environmental agencies and environmental training and consulting firms, as well as environmental managers and engineers in industry. It is also an excellent resource for upper-level undergraduates and graduate students in environmental courses.
