The book is unique in that its framework is based on Risk Assessment, a methodology adopted world wide to address environmental health issues; and also as it highlights environmental health issues applicable to Australia, New Zealand and their near northern neighbours. Environmental Health in Australia and New Zealand provides environmental health students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and health professionals, with the means for assessing, correcting, controlling and preventing those aspects of human health that are determined by physical, chemical, biological, social and psychosocial factors in the environment.
Scott Cameron is principal consultant to the Communicable Disease Control Branch of the South Australian Health Commission, and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health at the University of Adelaide. Nancy Cromar is a lecturer in Environmental Health at the University of Adelaide. Howard Fallowfield is a Senior Lecturer in the Environmental Health Unit of the School of Medicine at Flinders University.
