The degradation of marine-coastal environments, mainly due to the disorderly urban occupation, the lack of sanitation infrastructure, as well as the pollution of water and soil resources has caused the accelerated process of ecosystem destruction, including in the research area, the coastal lagoon system. The use of environmental education instruments for community empowerment is an important tool for the elaboration and proposition of socio-environmental public policies, with a view to reversing the processes of environmental degradation and recovery, which contributes to improving the quality of life of the community that still survives on artisanal fisheries. The main objective of the research was to carry out environmental education with the residents of the community together with the Fishermen's Colony Z-33 to train them so as to subsidize them in the struggle for public policies for the environmental recovery of the ecosystem studied, inserted in the coastal environment.

Die Autorin hat einen Abschluss in Umwelttechnik (2013) und einen Master in Umweltwissenschaften (2017) von der Universität Extremo Sul Catarinense - UNESC. Sie arbeitet in der Umwelterziehung und der klimatologischen Analyse, insbesondere von Niederschlagsanomalien.
