The purpose of the present Bachelor thesis is the first implementation of the environmental education strategy in the Community Reserve El Sira - Peru and the evaluation of this process regarding the enhancements and modifications of the elaborated strategy. It was designed to support the accomplishment of the Peruvian national objectives for the conservation of biodiversity and the mitigation of climate change plus the main objective of the GIZ project El Sira . The first implementation took place in a primary school in one of the native communities of the buffer zone of the Community Reserve El Sira with the assistance of the respective teachers and representatives of the authorities of the reserve. The author precisely conveys the process which is following a three phase method: providing basic information of the Community Reserve El Sira, followed by the interpretation of the just learned aspects and finally the generation of own conservation activities. The evaluation of this pilot implementation should support the further improvement of the environmental education strategy so that it can be applied successfully in other communities of the Community Reserve El Sira.
