Energen Corporation, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, traces its beginnings to October 14, 1852. In 1985, the holding company became Energen Corporation. Today, Energen Corporation is a diversified energy company with two major subsidiaries, Alagasco, its natural gas utility, and Energen Resources, its oil and gas acquisition and production company.

Editor Sandra Behel and a group of volunteers known as The 150 Committee compiled the photographs and captions for this pictorial tribute. These images from the past and present demonstrate the Company's ability to endure and thrive in changing times and display the Company's pride in its heritage and its excitement about the future.
