Produktbeschreibung
The book highlights the interrelationship between pulpal and periodontal tissues that primarily occurs via the intimate anatomic and vascular connections between the pulp and the periodontium; these interrelationships have been traditionally demonstrated using radiographic, histological and clinical criteria. Pulpodontic-periodontic syndrome, has been used to define a syndrome involving inflammation or degeneration of pulp with a periodontal pocket adjacent to the same tooth. This syndrome can be initiated by either pulpal or periodontal disease and may manifest pulpal and periodontal symptoms. These combined periodontal endodontic lesions require both endodontic as well as periodontal treatment to save the tooth involved. Both periodontists and endodontists should work in unison to resolve the pathology via interdisciplinary approach.
