Maurice Oswell has been a sales leader for 20 years. He started his career as a financial analyst working for the Insurance Commissioner in Georgia for 3 years. Maurice then took a position at State Farm Insurance Company as a Property and Casualty Underwriter shortly after transitioned over to the Catastrophe team for State Farm where he held this position for 5 years. Maurice then changed careers and took a sales position at Sanofi-Aventis, a pharmaceutical company, where he worked as a sales rep for 2 years before being promoted to an Areas Sales Manager. He later took a position at Novartis Pharmaceuticals where he worked as a sales manager, a sales Director, held positions in Sales operations, marketing and training. Five years ago Maurice started his own consulting company called The Oswell Company. He has a PhD in organizational behavior, an MBA in Marketing and a BBA in Finance. He used his training to launch his organization. Maurice's focus is to identify behaviors in organizations, if changed, would lead to more efficient process and behaviors that would lead to higher performance. Currently, Maurice is a Regional Business Director with Lundbeck where he is using his leadership experience to lead managers. He relies on his emotional intelligence background to identify and help others improve their skillsets through self awareness and other pillars associated with EI. In 2013 Maurice Oswell published a book called Emotional Intelligence: An ideology for leaders seeking extraordinary results. This book and its concepts became the foundation for his organization. He has worked with companies like Nike, Merck, Novartis, Abbott, Lundbeck, Sanofi Aventis, MLGW, and Tennessee State Government amongst others.
