After much contemplation, Emma Kate decides to bring her shiny trophy she'd won the night before at the pageant for Show and Tell Day. She makes her entrance in the kitchen shortly before school, all dressed up in her sparkling dress and holding her shiny trophy. After a new twist of events, Emma Kate finds something extra special to bring for Show and Tell Day and cannot wait to show her class.

She graduated cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She pursued graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated with a Master of Social Work, specializing in direct practice with children and families. She received outstanding awards throughout her academic career and holds lifetime memberships in multiple honor societies highlighting her excellence. What began as a childhood hobby; grew into a passion throughout the years. When Melissa is not working or writing, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and making special memories.
