She looked for, and saw the good in everyone and everything. Yes, we all she knew was love! Ellen KNEW the Lord! She LOVED the Lord with all her heart. She was a witness to Him everyday, everywhere. She was such a great blessing to her family and all who knew her! Sarah Ellen Collins Saucier was born and grew up in the town of Coffeeville, Mississippi. She graduated from Ole Miss in 1946, received a BA degree. She married in December 1946. They lived in Jackson, Ms. for fourteen years, then moved to Atlanta, Ga. where they lived until Herschel's retirement in 1988. They moved back to Coffeeville. Sarah and Herschel had four children, the oldest was Ellen, born in 1948. Linda lives in Silver City NM. Diane lives in Fayetteville, Ark. Frank lives in Columbus, Ga. Sarah taught school one year, but decided it was more important to be at home with her children. Being an excellent seamstress, she sewed for the family. She sang in choirs, sang solos at weddings, etc. Sarah now plays organ and piano for the UMC. Sarah thanks the Lord for the wonderful blessing He sent into her life when He gave Ellen to her.
