J.B. Mozley (1813 - 1878), educated at Oriel College, Oxford, was elected to a fellowship at Magdalen College in 1840. In time, his Tractarian beliefs became more moderate, though he remained a strong Churchman. His books include 'On the Primitive Doctrine of Baptismal Regeneration' and the Bampton Lectures on 'Miracles'. From 1871 until his death he was Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford.
