About Book: This book is based on a scientific research study conducted to determine the Comparative Effects of Bhramari and Surya Bhedan Pranayama on Balance Abilities (static and dynamic). Thirty students from Banaras Hindu University were selected as subjects for this study. The age of the subjects ranged between 20-25 years. The subjects were divided into three groups i.e. Two experimental groups (Surya Bhedan & Bhramari Pranayama) and one control group. Static Balance and Dynamic Balance Abilities were selected as Dependent variables and Surya Bhedan Pranayama and Bhramari Pranayama were considered as Independent variables. In order to find out the Comparative Effects of Bhramari Pranayama and Surya Bhedan Pranayama on Balance Abilities (static and dynamic), Descriptive Statistics and Analysis of Co-Variance (ANCOVA) were used. Bhramari and Surya Bhedan Pranayama were found fructiferous in bringing change in Static Balance Ability. But no significant effect was found on Dynamic Balance Ability.
