Biological processes constrain many aspects of this growth and development, with the onset of puberty marking the passage from childhood to adolescence. It is a time period of life with special health and developmental needs and rights. It is also a time to acquire knowledge and skills, learn to manage feelings, emotions and relations, and acquire attributes and abilities.
