In the state of West Bengal, Central and State Governments have dedicated television programmes based on agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries which are telecast via DD-Bangla (Krishidarshan) and other private channels like ETV Bangla (Annadata). This book explores a great scientific relevance in the present context of time as many aquaculture based programmes are telecast in television channels but how far are they effective is not known. Only few studies have done studies on farm based Television Programmes. Through this book this issue has been exclusively emphasized.

Mr. Amitava Ghosh is a Ph.D Research Scholar at WBUAFS & an INSPIRE Fellow of DST, Govt. of India. He Completed his Master in Fishery Sciences from CIFE, Mumbai & being the topper, he would be awarded with two Gold Medals. He has a wide range of field experiences in Fishery Extension. Presently, he has 11 Research Papers and 6 Book Chapters.
