Reduction in the THD was observed in the given IGBT based power system.A total four experiments were conducted on the effect of reactive load conditions on IGBT based power system and analysis of the harmonic distortion was carried out. The analysis of the results showed that the IGBT based power system using the concept of switching resistor is capable of reducing harmonic distortion on the input power linesintroduced because of external or internal load conditions.
