Now-a-days, chemical fertilizers are the main source for providing the required quantities of nutrients to the plant. The continuous use of chemical fertilizers has led to contamination of food material, environmental pollution and depletion of soil fertility. So, it is necessary to find out alternative, which improves the productivity, quality and also eco-friendly to the environment. However, the use of inorganic fertilizers alone may cause problems for human health and the environment and use of organic manures alone cannot fulfill all the crop nutrients requirement. Integrated Nutrient Management is an alternative for sustainable crop production rather than use of inorganic fertilizers only. combined use of organic manures, chemical fertilizers and other nutrient inputs with a reduced dose of chemical fertilizers, not only pave the way for higher yield and quality produce, but also help to maintain the soil health and reduce pollution problems. In keeping view of the importance of these factors, the present investigation entitled Integrated nutrient management (INM) in okra cv. GAO 5 under North Gujarat condition was conducted.
