The IGAD states are getting integrated into the world economy and thanks to globalization, that has boosted economic growth, however, it has also imposed high economic costs on the region. The results of this research are useful to economic policymakers in determining the role of institutions, policy instruments, and factors, which are necessary for attaining higher productivity, efficiency, and profitability that create resilient forces for competition in global and regional markets.
