AJ Kikumoto is a dance instructor and coach at Starstruck Academy of Dance in Denver, CO. A former NBA Denver Nugget Dancer (YES, World Champs!!), CBA Idaho Hot Shots Dancer and Boise State University Mane Line Dance Team President. Mother of 6 children - 5 girls and one boy. All are competitive athletes involved in many sports, including basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, dance, volleyball, gymnastics, and tennis, to name a few. She and her husband coach many of these sports, and being in the trenches, saw a need for this book, "Mental Toughness for Athletes: 7 Proven Strategies for Young Champions to Build Grit, Boost Emotional Resilience and Become Unstoppable.". AJ Kikumoto is a Marquis Who's Who, where individuals profiled are selected on factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field.She is the CEO of Queen Publishing Agency, which helps budding authors publish their books. Having entered business for herself due to her own struggles in finding a publisher, Ms. Kikumoto wrote her first book series, "Zoey's Great Adventures¿¿," in collaboration with her six children. Based on actual events, Zoey's Great Adventures¿¿ book series teaches morals and values; every book ends with "You can do hard things," empowering young children to be their best selves and be kind to others. Aaliyah KikumotoTM Dare 2 Dream book series recently debuted from her daughter going viral at The Masters Golf Tournament as the "Masters Girl." Coloring books, cookbooks, and journals are available now, and many more will be debuting soon.The series seeks to raise awareness regarding Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS,) a speech disorder. Four of Ms. Kikumoto's children were born with CAS and were mute until they were four. She donates a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit Apraxia Kids. In 2022 and 2023, Ms. Kikumoto was a guest speaker empowering parents to advocate for their Apraxia Star at the Apraxia Kids National Conference. The organization supports the lives of children afflicted with apraxia of speech. She also volunteers with the organization and helps with fundraising through Walk for Apraxia. Besides her effort in support of CAS, she often volunteers with the Backpack Society in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, walks to support autism, breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma, and is active with Feed the 5,000 through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Additionally, Ms. Kikumoto has produced many blankets for children on behalf of Project Linus. She is a mentor for The Serenity Project, which challenges the increasing stigmatization of mental health and suicide.Ms. Kikumoto attributes much of her success to her diligent work ethic. She holds a Master of Arts in elementary education from Utah State University and is a professional Alliance of Independent Authors member.
