This title is the first systematic examination of the process of intergovernmental reform in East Asia. It covers four main thematic areas: an analytic overview; Financial and Human Resources; Service Delivery Impact; and Accountability. It also provides a comprehensive and penetrating analysis of the recent history and future challenges surrounding decentralization in all the main countries in the region (China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia).
