"Such a needed, fun, and insightful book! It is packed with so much wisdom and great story telling. Navigating this important life change with Nancy will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired." -Ariane de Bonvoisin, Best-selling author, The First 30 Days Should I sell my house? Where should I go? How do I get rid of all this stuff? What can I do so I am not a burden to my kids? These are the questions senior citizens face. In Early Birds Flock Together, Nancy Runner shares a personal story of moving from her city of thirty-five years to a new community, new apartment, and new people. Woven throughout are humorous anecdotes about dealing with change, frustrating senior moments, accepting eccentric people, and maintaining good relationships with adult children.
Autorenporträt
Nancy Runner lives and writes in Wisconsin, her home for the past 40 years. Her family includes two grown children, their spouses, and four grandchildren. Long ago, Nancy graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In her growing up years, she lived in five states as well as England and Argentina. On nosy application forms, she checks the boxes for married, single, and divorced. Over her lifetime, she has learned change provides opportunity. In her essays, Nancy explores relationships and their long term consequences, good and bad. Personal mishaps find their way into her writing: from getting stuck in the gas station car wash, to accidentally drinking the water from a vase of flowers, or paying over one hundred dollars for a canister of tea, Nancy likes to laugh at herself and hopefully provide encouragement to others. Her books include, 2Cute 2Be 4Gotten, A Book about Mourning Doves, From Castles and Bombs to Nazis and Frauleins, and Early Birds Flock Together. www.nancyrunner.com
