Serious visual artists can now easily understand and apply the secret geometry that masters used to create remarkable art. Superior mathematical skills aren't required because there are hundreds of excellent step-by-step diagrams to explain everything with simplicity. Learn how the ancient and modern masters used dynamic symmetry to promote unity, movement, rhythm, and strength. These qualities, along with many others, allowed their art to have visual clarity, impact, and stand the test of time. This is an essential book for painters, photographers, sculptors, and cinematographers that hold composition and design with a high priority. For far too long, artists have been stuck with the basic tools of artistic composition, like the rule of thirds and leading lines. Unfortunately, we're incapable of reaching the master level if all we know are the basics. Powerful tools like dynamic symmetry and other composition techniques have been kept a secret from all of us. It's time to learn of them, push past any plateau that stands in our way, and finally unlock our true potential!
Autorenporträt
Master painters kept composition and design techniques a secret because it gave their work vitality and longevity. It allowed them to communicate their visual message with clarity, giving them an edge over other artists. Some painters and photographers know of their secret techniques today, but the majority of artists are stuck with just the basic techniques, like leading lines and the rule of thirds. Tavis Leaf Glover wants to change this. He wants to share the long lost, secret techniques with more artists to help change the future of art. At first, Tavis learned these techniques to apply to his own fine art photography. Yet, he knew that more serious artists deserved to know the same tools as the masters. Tavis started teaching through his blog in 2013, which now has over 530 articles based on composition and design. While this was being written, he created seven helpful videos based on powerful visual perception techniques (Gestalt psychology). He also authored "Canon of Design: Mastering Artistic Composition" for artists and "Photography Composition & Design: A Fun Approach for Serious Artists" for street and travel photographers. His new book, "Dynamic Symmetry: The Foundation for Masterful Art," digs deep into the ancient geometry that master artists used. It's explained in a way that visual artists can fully understand without knowing advanced mathematics. It also shows excellent examples of how to apply dynamic symmetry in painting, photography, cinematography, and sculpting.
