Composites technology has been gaining increasing acceptance for various applications. In such application, this book relates to parametric study of the dynamic characteristics of laminated composite structures. The elastic properties of composite materials depend on diverse factors like the configuration of the laminates, constituent materials used, production method adopted etc.. Hence, it is generally impossible to find these properties in standard tables or databases. The determination of material parameters of the complex materials, such as fiber reinforced composites, present serious difficulties when applying traditional test methods. To overcome these difficulties, the mentioned method, viz., Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Simulated Annealing (SA), have been used to provide additional techniques of evaluating material properties of composite structures from the measured natural frequencies.

He obtained his B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology and completed his M.Eng and Ph.D in the field of Aerospace Structure at Anna University. Also, he has published many papers and few books in the area of Structural Optimization, Structural Dynamics and Identifying the Elastic Properties of Composite Structures.
