Gillian Long is a psychologist by profession and was born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. She has also lived in the Middle East and Europe. Gillian immigrated to Australia in 1986 and now lives in Far North Queensland. She has four adult children and lives with her partner near Millaa Millaa, on a farm that borders the World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest. This is where she divides her time between her passion for writing, and her responsibility as CEO for an Atherton Tablelands Charity.
