His acronym, HELP, may say it best: Health, Energy, Longevity, Productivity. With a firm belief that style comes from being comfortable in your own skin, George and his team at George Worrell Style, LLC offer much more than mere fashion advice. With a heart to share generously from the vast store of knowledge and insights he has gained over the last twenty years in the industry, it is no surprise that he has expanded into related services such as event planning, workforce development, and motivational speaking. Described as a visionary, this highly sought-after celebrity stylist specializes in fashion consulting in the Washington, DC area. Founded on the core belief that what we see on the outside is a direct reflection of what is on the inside, George and his team incorporate fashion into everything they do for all their clients. Whether working with individuals or large companies, George finds purpose in inspiring each client to leverage fashion to achieve both personal and professional goals. Over the years, George has been featured in the Washington Post and the Atlantic City Press and has taken his place as a regular style contributor for a growing number of regional and national broadcasts. At the local level, he has been interviewed on the Great Day Washington segment on WUSA Channel 9 and has hosted several style segments on WHUR Radio. Nationally, he has been featured on CBS, ABC, NBC, and Martha Stewart Living XM. A self-professed creative and analytical team leader, George Worrell's strategic planning trends have set him apart as a community force to be reckoned with. Some of his more illustrious affairs include staging the inaugural events for Mayor Adrian Fenty and an event for the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and 6500 of his guests. However, because he also has a strong commitment to serving today's youth, he feels equally honored to have been asked to speak on Career Development Day at various local schools, including Anacostia High School, Yeshiva University, and DC Incarcerated Youth, and he serves as a board member of the Harlem Justice Center. In addition to these speaking engagements, he has hosted DC's Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP), which is centered around workforce development and career preparation, with a focus on learning to dress for success. He has also participated in Discovery Channel's 'Say Yes to the Prom' annual prom give-back campaign with stops in Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, and Atlanta, where he took care of all style choices and alterations for the students. He currently serves as a commissioner for DC Fashion Arts and Events (CFAE). George currently resides between New York City and Washington, DC, where he is the current host of the podcast InsideSTYLE DC Radio.gov 96.3 HD4. In 2010, George took a look back and wrote "On the Other Side of Style: A Memoir." There he chronicled the story of an idyllic childhood growing up in a loving middle-class home in Atlantic City, NJ. After weathering the challenges of substance abuse and finding himself homeless on the streets of Philadelphia, he rose from the ashes to become the inspirational stylist and event planner he is today. In this, his second book, he looks back over his very blessed life, noting the people, the events, the influences, and the patterns that have shaped his life, inspired his calling, opened doors, honed his gifts, and given him the laser focus that drives him today. Armed with a strong sense of purpose, George tells the story of finding one's inner strength after enduring the worst of life's situations and shines a light on his ongoing passion: to empower others to design their ideal life of success through real style. With an eye to paying it forward, he invites his audiences, his clients, and you, his readers, to "Cross the River Together."
