The entire universe is based on the evolution of repetitive cycles. We find ourselves constantly perplexed with extending the life cycles of both man and beast but just as we have an expected life cycle; the worlds around us scattered throughout the universe have life cycles as well. The life cycle of the earth can be extended or disrupted by the development of man's technological advances. As you will see, there is much more at work here, than manned spaceflight.
