Borna Bebek grew up in Britain where he attended Blackfriars of Oxford boarding school. He moved to USA where he studied physics and philosophy at Williams College, and he wrote a masters at Thunderbird Business School. He begun a PhD thesis on the Phidian code - Plato in Heidelberg - Hans Georg Gadammer - Martin Heideger, he moved on to Oxford and completed the thesis at the LSE. He moved on to India where he studied Kriya Yoga for two years with Hariharananda. After India, he circumnavigated the world in a sail boat. He wrote two best-selling books on the subject: Santhana, One Man's Journey to the East - The Bodley Head and The City of Glass - Abraxis Publishing. His third book: The Third City - Routledge and Keegan Paul is a text book taught at several top universities - Harvard, Princeton, Yale etc. In the late eighties, Bebek befriended Rowan Williams and lived with him at Christ Church College Oxford where he was a member of the High Table. In the nineties, he joined the MPRI - Military Professional Resources INC - a group consisting of former US military experts led by the chief of staff, General Carl Vouno. They helped Croatia break away from the communist block and assisted the precipitation of the former Warsaw Pact. Bebek was a major in the Croatian army-intelligence advisor to the president and a presidential candidate. Military and political carrier apart, Bebek also has an equally significant internationally relevant academic background. He taught at world's leading universities, is a Fulbright scholar and the head of Academia Regia: an academy set up in 1776 by Austrian empress Maria Theresa Habsburg. He runs it with the approval of current head of the house of Habsburg, Archduke Karl Habsburg, with blessing by former archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
